Skylark Licensing
General Conditions
Skylark SL NEO software and BMPlayer are protected from copying by the program key that depends on the used hardware and some other components.
All those wishing to test SL NEO platform software products in full may have the temporary license for up to three months. To get the temporary license key, send your contact information to pass through a simple activation procedure.

License Installation (Update) Order
Via Key File Copying
Start with verifying the license file you wish to install. Make sure it is named license.lic. Rename it, if needed.
Place the license file in the folder:
- SL NEO kit (Neovid, AirMgr, Transfer Manager etc.) -
C:\Program Files (x86)\SL NEO Media Platform\run\license.lic - BMPlayer -
C:\Program Files\BMPlayer\run\license.lic.
To apply the license, relaunch the server modules and client software.
Via Server Interface
Applying the license data is implemented without relaunching SL NEO Media Server.
Installing or updating the license at the server is implemented through the server control panel: SL NEO Media Server→License.
Press the Enter License button and copy all data from the license file.
Via Client Application
Installing or updating the license on the client workplace may be implemented through the client application, like Air Manager or Media Connect: Air Manager/Media Connect→Help→License….
Applying the license may require relaunching the client software.
If the error message “Can't write license file” appears, relaunch the client application as an administrator.
Package Licensing
When client software is launched at client workplaces from a shared folder in the network, the option simultaneous saving of several license keys in one location is required. This option is provided by the package licensing mechanism that allows including the machine code to the license file name. The feature is added in the 2.4.33 version.
The example of naming license files: license-XXXX-XXXX.lic, where XXXX-XXXX is the code of the corresponding machine.
SL NEO Demo Version Limitations
SL NEO software automatically switches to the demo-mode, if the license status is “NOT VALID”, and Playout/Recorder services display the “SL NEO Media Platform http://skylark.tv” message over the image. This activates limitations on duration of imported materials, which is eight minutes. Some functions described in the software manual may be unavailable in the demo-mode. Testing some of the functions requires a full license with limited duration: trial license. EzMuxer works 72 hours in the demo-mode, then stops its services.
BMPlayer Demo Version Limitations
BMPlayer automatically switches to the demo-mode is the license status is “NOT VALID”: the viewing window displays the DEMO title, and the “Demo mode” information message pops up every five minutes.
