Air Manager (air management client)
Air Manager is a multifunctional client application designed to manage the recording and playout channels of SL NEO servers and graphics stations, media storages, compilation, editing and execution of recording and playout schedules both for individual servers and for automated broadcast, production complexes, recording and archiving complexes.
Air Manager is the primary tool for recording operators and on-air operators when building programs in broadcast facilities.
Interface
The Air Manager program includes several windows:

File Monitor | Displays the video sequence and metadata for the clip selected in the Media Browser. It allows you to set the In and Out points, keyframes, etc. |
VTR control | Manual tape control window. |
Media Browser | Displays the contents of the media base. The left part displays the directory tree. The right part displays the contents of the directory as a tile or list. |
Browser job list | import/export events list. |
Archive Queue | Archive Queue. |
Key frames | Displays a list of keyframes and their description. Displays the keyframes for the clip loaded in File Monitor. It allows you to quickly move between keyframes and edit them. |
Segments | Segment Editor (special keyframes). |
Missing Media List | A summary window for clips with NoMedia status. |
Search Media | MAM media database search tool with filters. |
Media Bins | Window to create sets of media clips. |
Materials Sheet | opens the metadata editor window - Clip Materials Sheet. From version 2.4.54 you can add custom and group bookmarks with a custom set of editable metadata fields to the metadata editor window. This function is configured in the metadata schema. |
Sync Control | opens a window for group playlist synchronization control. |
Messenger | The messaging interface. |
Event Logs | Window for viewing the media log (Event Log) |
Marker Displays | Function to display information widgets. |
Record Window | Window to control the record sheet. |
Broadcast Window | Window to control the playlist. |
Graphics Window | Open windows to control manual playback of graphic compositions. You can open up to one window per channel. |
Record List Editor | Window of the record sheet editor. |
Broadcast List Editor | Window Playlist Editor. |
Air Manager Settings
Configuring Air Manager allows you to configure its connections to the active server modules of one or more SL NEO media servers operating in the shared network. The procedure also allows you to configure various functions of the application and change the parameters of the user interface (fonts, styles, etc.).
The setup procedure should be performed each time when installing Air Manager on a new client station or when changing the IP addresses of SL NEO servers and adding new services (database, recording and playback channels).
The configuration procedure is called in the menu Air Manager→File→Configure…
.

Saving the location of the windows
In order to save the position of the windows in the file *.awp
(Air Manager Windows Position), you can use the menu command Air Manger→Window→Save Windows
.
To restore the windows location, you can use the menu command Air Manger→Window→Load Windows
.
Complete Configuration Save
To save the full current configuration of Air Manager, you can use the Windows registry editor and export a branch to a file:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Skylark\AirManager]
.
To quickly transfer the Air Manager configuration to another PC, or restore a previous configuration, it is enough to add the data from the corresponding *.reg
file to the Windows registry.

Toolbar
Toolbar toolbar at the top of the Air Manager window.
Media Browser window
MediaBrowser - A built-in media management interface that is part of the AirManager, MediaConnect, and NewsCut client applications. It is used for viewing the contents of the media base, importing, exporting and editing files. This window controls the Storage module.
File Monitor window
File Monitor allows you to view the clips selected in the MediaBrowser window, or in the play/rec lines, directly on the monitor screen of the client PC.

Edit Metadata
Selective editing of user fields of the base metadata set is done in the media browser by single mouse click on the desired field in “View as short list” or “View as long list” display modes.
Group editing is done using the editing window “Change fields...”.
Working with ANC data (SCTE-104 tags, teletext)

Search for labels in the Monitor window
Starting from version 2.1.22 the Find next SCTE-104 frame function is available by right-clicking on the file name in window File Monitor. This function starts searching for the SCTE-104 package starting from the current position in the clip.
